WEDNESDAY PDB – Biden’s Afghan Disaster, Biden’s Defense Budget Failure, Socialist ‘Extremists’? DoD’s ‘Extremism’ Commissar, Marine F-35s Aboard Brit Carrier Strike ISIS, Giant Counter-Drone Gun

F-35 Lightning II demonstration team members sprint to their positions during the ground show at the Defenders of Liberty Air & Space Show at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., May 17, 2019. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY – With the many national security and intelligence topics that American Defense News (ADN) cannot adequately cover every day – in collaboration with the Center for American Defense Studies (CADS) – we are providing our readers a PDB:

Not the President’s Daily Brief, but almost as good – Paul’s Daily Briefing.

Today’s PDB includes a variety of critical issues such as – China’s latest submarine seems to have lifted its sail design from Sweden’s new A26 class. US seizes websites linked to Iranian government propaganda. Cash-strapped National Guard warns it will be forced to cancel training, ground aircraft.

Navy training document says socialists represent ‘terrorist’ ideology.

The military has a watchdog (Commissar) for stopping extremism. Now, it wants teeth — and independence.

The case for a defense budget that focuses more on China, less on climate change.

Biden’s defense budget will worry America’s Indo-Pacific allies.

An avoidable tragedy looms in Afghanistan. Biden must act quickly to avert it.

Joe Biden has abandoned Afghanistan. No summit can change that.

And MORE.

TODAY’S PDB:

Pentagon ‘Woke Watch’

The military has a watchdog (Commissar) for stopping extremism. Now, it wants teeth — and independence. The Defense Department’s Office of Inspector General is asking Congress to take steps to empower its new deputy IG in charge of rooting out extremism in the ranks and secure its independence.’

Navy training document says socialists represent ‘terrorist’ ideology. A Navy training document asks, “Anarchists, socialists and neo-Nazis represent which terrorist ideological category?”

Biden Defense Budget

The case for a defense budget that focuses more on China, less on climate change. Since President Biden’s inauguration, we have seen what happens when America projects weakness rather than strength.

Biden’s defense budget will worry America’s Indo-Pacific allies. Spending to boost the U.S. military’s future edge comes at the expense of addressing today’s shortfalls in capacity and warfighting effectiveness.

Homeland Security

Cash-strapped National Guard warns it will be forced to cancel training, ground aircraft. The National Guard is facing a severe funding shortage after its months-long mission securing the U.S. Capitol after the Jan. 6 pro-Trump assault.

China Threat

China’s latest submarine seems to have lifted its sail design from Sweden’s new A26 class. The existence of the new submarine, known in the West as the Type 039C Yuan class, only became known last month, but analysts are already mulling its features and potential capabilities.

Afghanistan

An avoidable tragedy looms in Afghanistan. Biden must act quickly to avert it. The United States should immediately begin preparations for an orderly evacuation of the Afghan allies so they can’t be hunted down by the Taliban. To leave them behind would be a sorry betrayal.

Joe Biden has abandoned Afghanistan. No summit can change that. On Friday, President Joe Biden will meet with Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah, head the High Council for National Reconciliation, at the White House.

Iran Threat

US seizes websites linked to Iranian government propaganda. The Justice Department moved Tuesday to seize more than 30 Web domains linked to Iranian state media, as American officials continued their efforts to counter what they say is Iranian propaganda and disinformation at a time of simmering tensions between the two countries.

Military

UK, US F-35Bs attack ISIS in first combat missions from HMS Queen Elizabeth. The United Kingdom’s Carrier Strike Group has joined the fight against Daesh, also known as ISIS, with F-35B Lightning II jets carrying out their very first combat missions from HMS Queen Elizabeth, the U.K. Ministry of Defence said in a June 22 release.

This enormous drone gun can pluck UAVs right out of the sky. The ever-increasing implementation of unmanned aerial vehicles, drones, in modern warfare has yielded an on-the-ground race to develop technologies necessary to knock them out of the sky.

END of PDB

Paul Crespo is the Managing Editor of American Defense News. It appears to me that Biden is only interested in ongoing successes are for the Countries that he did quid pro quo business with as the Vice President of the USA under Obama. His son is still the one doing the deals for the Funds –a billion and a half at inception and bringing in big bucks for the Chinese CCP and the Biden Clan of Grifters.

An avoidable tragedy in Afghanistan. NO, Joe Blow will not act quickly, except perhaps in the opposite direction. And NO, he will not avoid it. Yet another US failure to protect our friends and allies that risked their all to save their native Afghanistan from Taliban thugs.

The article above states that the National Guard cannot train militarily due to not having the funds.. The reason they are short on funds (THANK YOU QUEEN NANCY) was because the National Guard was protecting the Capital for almost 6 months and the brave Men of the National Guard were forced to sleep on the floor of an unheated garage in below freezing weather.. They were also fed moldy rations and food with metal filings. How selfish of Queen Nancy to not let these volunteers return home when she knew full well there was no longer any danger.
