Army approves Christian soldier’s request to wear long hair for religious reasons. Sgt. Jacob DiPietro, a cargo specialist with the Florida Army Reserve’s 489th Transportation Company (Seaport Operations), was approved for a religious exemption to the Army hair standards this week.

NATO fighter planes intercept Russian aircraft over Baltic Sea. NATO tracked and intercepted four Russian planes, traveling without flight plans or transponder codes, over the Baltic Sea, the bloc announced on Friday.
Heads up, US Navy: Russia’s stealth submarine force is growing fast. The Russian Navy‘s submarine force reached another milestone on Friday, as the Sevmash Shipyard in Severodvinsk in Russia’s northwest announced that it has floated out the latest advanced Project 885M (Yasen-M) nuclear-powered submarine Krasnoyarsk.
US blames Iran for drone attack on Israeli-linked tanker. The U.S. joined the U.K. and Israel Sunday in blaming Iran for a fatal drone strike last week on an Israeli-linked tanker near the coast of Oman in the Arabian Sea, and the U.S. said it would work with allies to develop a response to the incident.
