‘Calamity of Epic Proportions’- Congress Needs Probe of Biden’s Mishandling of Afghan Withdrawal

Analysis – As President Biden’s ‘Saigon on Steroids’ crisis continues to unfold in Kabul, Afghanistan, one lawmaker is demanding a probe into Biden’s mishandling of the entire disaster, calling it a ‘calamity of epic proportions.

Rep. Peter Meijer (R-Mich.), who serves on the House Committees on Homeland Security and Foreign Affairs, told the Washington Post’s ‘Power Up’ on Sunday that Team Biden’s Afghan withdrawal planning should be the subject of congressional hearings.

Meijer also strongly questioned the administration’s intelligence reports.

According to ‘Power Up,’ Meijer, who also worked in Afghanistan as a conflict analyst, said:

I think the underestimation of how long the Afghan government would hold is an intelligence failure on the level of [GW Bush’s] Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction and [Obama] downplaying the rise of ISIS.

Beyond congressional hearings, we need to strongly look at Congress’s dependence on analytic products coming out of the executive branch. There were obviously dissenting voices and those were communicated on a one-off basis, but the reality when it comes to classified information and intelligence members of Congress have to beg for crumbs and then are overly reliant on the executive branch to provide assessments.

Meijer added: “Those assessments, as we saw here and with ISIS and weapons of mass destruction, are colored by political expediency.”

Referring to the chaotic emergency evacuation of thousands of Americans and Afghan allies, Meijer said: “This is a calamity of epic proportions — this is not something you can spin away.”  ADN

I fully expect that in the very near future we’ll be told that Biden “has had a severe heart attack and is considered medically incapacitated”. We all know that he is unable to face America’s anger and frustration over his mishandling of Afghanistan. He can only be removed by his handlers as they grasp for some type of sympathy over his condition to dampen his and their ineptness.

LISTEN UP…GOD Has a REASON for EVERYTHING. HE Can TAKE t he EVIL that SATAN Does and Bring Something GOOD Out of it. The BLESSING of GOD is NOT with PREZ BIDEN…it is STILL with PREZ TRUMP. With KING DAVID Not KING SAUL. From SamuraiQueen. 😄😄😄

He didn’t take questions after his latest speech and I assumed he couldn’t remember what he just read. An investigation might expose who’s really running this shitshow.

He acted like a robot. Walked in, read his prepared statement, turned around and walked out like a robot and got back on the helicopter and vanished, never to be heard from since.

Seems like Mr. Meijer voted to impeach the wrong President. GOP better wake up and realize what is happening. RINOs need to vote with the GOP or resign.

Considering what kind of politicians we have in Congress, it’s a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation. There are those who should never have access to classified information and there are those in the executive branch who should never be allowed to classify anything to cover up their dirty deeds.
As to the fall of Afganistan, it’s a lesson for all citizens. If you show weakness in resisting terrorism, you will always lose. That ‘s why we have a puppet government influenced by Obama and his Iranian mentor Jarret and China influence over Biden through his son. Does anyone really believe Joe Biden is really making decisions ?

You have a puppet president from a communist coup whose whole agenda consists of destroying our Republican form of government and we are spending time and money to debate a decision that advances that agenda. What we need right now is a gigantic toilet plunger the size of the Superdome to flush that toilet bowl known as Washington DC .

It’s always ‘investigate, investigate, investigate.’ And why? It is now abundantly clear that poor Mr. Biden has reached that point of cognitive decline where errors of judgment are the norm. Either that, and/or his handlers and wranglers (Bathhouse Barry & Company?) are in complete control. An investigation, whatever it reveals, is destined for the dustbin as long as the DemonCrats rule the roost.
