British minister James Heappey said there is a ‘grave possibility’ war could be looming but said it was not ‘remotely realistic’ that British troops would be sent to fight on Ukrainian soil.
The Ministry of Defence has provided some military support to Kyiv, including sending anti-tank missiles, and Mr Heappey said the country’s forces are ‘ready to fight for every inch of their country’.
