Joe Biden Recommended Son of Hunter’s Chinese Business Partner to Ivy League School

Despite repeated denials by President Biden that he knew anything of his son Hunter’s overseas business schemes, Hunter Biden’s laptop shows that the president recommended the son of one of Hunter’s business partners to the president of Brown University, an elite Ivy League college.

As recently as Tuesday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki still affirmed that President Biden has not discussed Hunter’s overseas business dealings with his son.

However, Fox News Digital (FND) obtained emails from Hunter’s laptop (recently verified by the New York Times and the Washington Post) between Hunter and his business associates involved in his firm Rosemont Seneca’s joint venture with Chinese investment firms Bohai Capital and BHR.

This new evidence highlights that Joe Biden was well aware of his son’s overseas influence-peddling business dealings worth millions of dollars, specifically with Chinese entities. And that the former vice president at the time also helped his son curry favor with his Chinese partners.

FND reported that in an email dated Jan. 3, 2017 sent to Hunter Biden and his business associates Devon Archer and Jim Bulger, the CEO of BHR Jonathan Li writes:

Gentlmen[sic], please find the attached resume of my son, Chris Li. He is applying the following colleges for this year,” Li writes, listing Brown University, Cornell University, and New York University.

Li goes on to attach an “updated version” of his son’s “CV” in a subsequent email.

Hunter apparently complied by getting his father Joe Biden, the former Vice President, to recommend his Chinese partner’s son Jonathan Li directly to Dr. Christina Paxson, the president of Brown University.

FND reported on the exchange between Hunter’s U.S. partner Eric, and the son of the Chinese partner, Jonathan Li:

“Jonathan, Hunter asked me to send you a copy of the recommendation letter that he asked his father to write on behalf of Christopher for Brown University,” Schwerin wrote.

“The original is being FedExed to Dr. Paxson directly at Brown,” Schwerin wrote. “It should be there by Tuesday at the latest (given Monday is a holiday here in the U.S.). Let us know if you have any questions. Best, Eric.”

To which Jonathan Li replied:

“Hi Eric, Just see the email. It is just great! Thank you very much!”

“And Hunter, thank you very much too,” Li continued. “All the best to you all.”

Hunter Biden has been under federal investigation for his “tax affairs” since 2018 with Fox News reporting in December 2020 that Biden was a subject/target of the grand jury investigation.

A top CNN legal analyst recently said that it appears the investigation into Hunter Biden’s overseas business schemes is “gaining steam” and there is a “realistic chance” that Hunter Biden could be indicted. ADN
