Russia-Ukraine war: List of key events, day 210. Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced a partial military mobilization in Russia as the war in Ukraine continues for nearly seven months.

PUTIN DOUBLES DOWN – Putin announces partial military mobilization for Russian citizens. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin said he’s signed a decree on a “partial mobilization” of Russian citizens from Wednesday, nearly seven months into his war on Ukraine.

Russian lawmakers toughen punishment for soldiers. Russia’s Kremlin-controlled lower house of parliament on Tuesday approved legislation that toughens punishment for soldiers breaching their duties, in an apparent effort to boost discipline in the ranks amid the fighting in Ukraine.

Russia moves toward annexing Ukraine regions in a major escalation. The Kremlin’s puppet authorities in occupied areas declared plans for staged referendums to approve joining Russia.

Russian navy moving Kilo attack boats to safety from Ukraine strike risk, says UK MoD. Russia has “almost certainly” moved its Black Sea Fleet Kilo-class submarines from Sevastopol, Crimea, to the Novorossiysk port in Krasnodar Krai, the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense announced in a Tuesday intelligence report.


Violence erupts in Iran after woman dies in ‘morality police’ custody. Authorities fired on people protesting the death of Mahsa Amini, killing at least five, according to a rights watchdog.


Vets hold vigil at Capitol again, this time to aid Afghan allies. For the second time in two months, dozens of veterans and military advocates are holding an around-the-clock vigil outside the U.S. Capitol in an effort to advance legislation they say will save lives.


Space Force debuts its official service song ‘Semper Supra.’ Another celestial flag has been planted in the years-long process of cementing Space Force as the U.S. military’s newest branch.
